The

Processing Exploration Program

The Del Fuego Project is launching the Processing Exploration Program, with the mission to seek out ways of improving cup quality through novel post harvest processing methods.

Our Goals

Education

PROVIDE FARMERS WITH EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES DESIGNED TO HELP THEM BETTER UNDERSTAND THE NEEDS AND GOALS OF THE SPECIALTY COFFEE INDUSTRY.

Research

IMPLEMENT SCIENTIFIC STUDY TO INVESTIGATE FACTORS AFFECTING COFFEE PRODUCTION AND CUP-QUALITY AND PROVIDE THE REGION’S FARMERS WITH SITE-SPECIFIC INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THEIR TRANSITION TO SPECIALTY COFFEE PRODUCTION.

The Del Fuego Project uses a community-based approach, combining science and local knowledge to build capacity in small-holder farming communities. Our goal is to create bridges between the Lands of Production and Consumption, sharing knowledge from each, to each, and shortening the conduit for information flow between the two.
